Think Again

Brother why do you stare at the ceiling fan?
Or wander about like a ghost on your rooftop;
Trying to drain down your sorrow
By immersing yourself in a glass of alcohol

Why is it that you feel that the end that you seek
Is better than what life holds for you tomorrow?
Can you be certain of salvation,
And free yourself from the cycle of life and death?

Tonight, don’t worry about those who love you;
The tears that they shed will dry up soon
But for once, think about yourself;
And ask yourself if this is your redemption
And that the next life happens to be worse?

I know that this world is not a fair place;
Where often pleasure gets overshadowed by pain
When no one seems to understand you or reckon how you feel
Let this not be the end of your journey.

Fight! Fight your demons and conquer your soul
Be the warrior that you were destined to be,
For people are nothing but a sea of rolling stones
You are but a hero passing through the eye of a cyclone.

Tonight as you cry your way to sleep
Wetting the pillow with your tears; the only companion that you keep,
Know that everything will fall into place soon
Just don’t give up yet and life will become a boon.

Day after day you will regain your lost strength
And though a part of you may always feel empty,
Know that happiness lies just ahead.
Let the darkness that has consumed your smile today,
Be the guiding light for many to follow

So that’s why I urge you brother
To think twice and not say goodbye just yet
Fulfill all your other dreams and goals
And we will live to see a brighter tomorrow.
